Structure of the Organisation
The National Executive Committee meets at least four times each year. Committee members are SWCF members, working in a voluntary capacity, for a period of 3 years. The NEC consults with the Council of Reference, and seeks to further the aims of SWCF. The NEC seeks a wide range of geographical and professional membership. Current members are drawn from Ireland, Scotland, Yorkshire, Midlands, Home Counties and London. We are interested in acquiring representation from Wales, the South West, East Anglia and Kent. Students and newly qualified workers are not currently represented and we would welcome offers. Expertise in working in the field of substance abuse is also invited.

The Council of Reference consists of members who are prominent in social work and allied professions. They are in active support of, and in sympathy with, the aims of SWCF. The current members are:

The administration of membership and publication sales is undertaken by Truedata, who may be contacted about any enquiry. Where this is not of an administrative nature, it will be forwarded to an appropriate member of the committee.
